Joe Baker, a.k.a. “The Tech Geek”
CEO, Chairman of the Board

Joe has 20 years of information technology and system development experience, with 10 years focused on developing systems for the logistics and transportation industry.

In 2000, Joe founded and is President and CEO of Revelations Technology, Inc., a software development company that created a robust and highly functional, web-based transportation management system to manage operations of third party logistics companies, international forwarders and shipping departments.

In 2008, Joe founded Smart Freight Solutions, Inc., to offer an integrated solution leveraging technology and freight management services so companies could receive a turn-key freight management solution with no upfront investment or risk.

Prior to founding Revelations Technology, Joe was Chief Information Officer at freightPro.com and led the development of the company’s multi-million dollar web-based transportation management system and predecessor to SmartFreightWare. Before joining freightPro.com, Joe was a Product Manager for HNTB, a nationally known and highly respected engineering firm, designing various software systems to improve productivity and efficiency.

Joe graduated from the University of Missouri at Rolla with a BS degree in Engineering Management and a minor in Computer Science.

Jim Bramlett
a.k.a. “The Shipping Nerd”
Chief Operating Officer

Jim is a logistics veteran with over 30 years of experience, having held executive management positions with several multi-modal transportation and logistics companies.

Most recently, Jim was VP of Logistics for MachineryLink, Inc. and President of MachineryLink Transport, LLC.  Jim joined MachineryLink as a consultant in 2005 and developed and executed strategies to reduce transportation costs by 20%.

Prior to that Jim founded, and was also CEO and President of, freightPro.com, an internet-based logistics services company. freightPro.com specialized in logistics solutions leveraging technology to deliver efficiency and cost savings.

Previously, Jim held key management positions with Skyway Freight Systems where he was Vice President of Expedited Transportation and at Yellow Transportation where he was Vice President of Service Marketing responsible for new product development.

Jim graduated from Missouri State University with a B.S in Marketing and is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and American Society of Transportation and Logistics.

Kurt Hadermann
Chief Information Officer

Kurt is primarily responsible for all software development and technical support related to SmartFreightWare.

Kurt has been working in the information technology field for the past 14 years. For the last 10 years Kurt has been working primarily in the logistics and transportation industry, and has led the development of the underlying rate engine that powers the least cost routing application within SmartFreightWare.

Prior to joining SFS, Kurt was the Director of Web Development at freightPro.com, and an IT consultant for HNTB. Kurt started his career at Cerner Corporation and at the time of his departure was the Leader of the Associate Service and Knowledge Team of Cerner Business Systems where he oversaw the re-design of the internal document management system.

Kurt holds a BS degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in German from Appalachian State University, and is a Microsoft Certified Application Developer.
